    Rapid Homes Modular Building Systems

    What is it?
It’s a system designed in Sweden which is made of highly designed components which make building a house so very easy, straightforward and above all fast and cost effective.

The system has been designed to absolutely minimize cost, without compromising excellence in material quality, durability, transportability and ease of installation.

    Strengths and Benefits
Durability – engineered life in excess of 20years; designed to withstand cyclone and seismic activity.
The ability to re-use the structure by dismantling and then shipping, erection without heavy equipment, only manual labor.

Can be assembled in less than 8 hours with sufficient manpower to have a building as light as possible in
transportable weight and each finished component light
enough to allow onsite erection by two to four men.

Termite, water, rot resistant and fire proof
The ability to withstand extreme cold or heat (-10 / +45Cº)
The ability to withstand up to 120kph sustained winds
    Seismic/Earthquake rated for Zone 3

Easy to Buy, Easy to Install

The system is really easy to install, with every component packed carefully before delivery to ensure arrival in perfect condition, ready to be quickly assembled. In fact, an average sized building can be erected within a day.

Normally, a house takes 6-8 weeks to build. Imagine installing a house and moving in 1 day!

    A Complete Package
The package contains everything required to get it up and running, including basic plumbing and electrical wiring, lights and outlets.

    No Digging foundations
Even height adjustable foundations are included in the building kit, so there’s no need to lay concrete or perform heavy excavation.

    Choice
The systems are about choice, different colors for roofing, walls, different levels of interior finishes – all these options mean you get the house you want and within your budget.

To make selecting and using our system simple, we offer a set of standard size packages which include everything required to get it up and running.

    Solutions
The system is extremely flexible and adaptable, there are so many potential uses – the Relief™ System can meet your needs.

    Technology
The system started in the early 1960’s and through extensive research, testing and use has resulted in a system that is cost optimized and uses strong, durable low profile and light materials.

    Building Standards and Specifications
We use the highest quality materials in the manufacture of our building systems, to ensure that our system meets our own high standards, as well as being able to perform to internationally recognized building standards and specifications including structural performance, wind loading and resistant to seismic activity.

    • Designed to occupy a minimum of space when stored and easy to be deployed
    • Can be used as schools, clinics and health centers
    • Can be used as shelter for victims of natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, tornados, fires and earthquakes with our rapid response
    • Accommodations for laborers and workers
    • The ability to re-use the structure by dismantling and then shipping, erection without heavy equipment, only manual labor

Potential specifications can include the following, dependent upon local requirements.

Inner walls and ceilings are made of steel profiles with either plywood, chipboard or Gyproc™ cladding, all with Rockwool™ insulation.

The Roof cladding is made from color-coated steel mounted on galvanized steel beams. The roof panels are packed together with the walls for easy and quick erection on site. The main elements are connected together by a specially developed, simple and effective lock mechanism (patent pending).

Living quarters, office areas, workshops, general stores, even schools, local hospitals and health stations can be established using the standard, basic elements.

    Sizes:

The system is based on flexible use of components. They are easy to handle and can be put together in various configurations. Living quarters, office areas, workshops, general stores, even schools, local hospitals and health stations can be established using the standard, basic elements.

Although standard sizes are 25m², 37½ m², 50m² and 75m², custom designs can accommodate larger areas and second storeys.

Further freedom of choice in facings, design and room sizes mean that for all intents and purposes the facility will resemble that of a more traditional permanent on-site constructed building

    Materials:

    Steel

In addition to performing ongoing stock and quality controls, all steel is sourced from suppliers with internally recognized and accredited quality control procedures to ensure that the steel always reaches the highest level of consistency.

    Structural Steel
Steel used with the category of structural steel is all galvanized, this being achieved by either foundry hot dipping or electroplating.

Flat Sheet and Flat Sheet derived components
All components in this category, whether manufactured or processed by ourselves or by accredited suppliers are fully galvanized, normally carrying material performance warranties, separate and in addition to those offered on the overall finished product.

    Processed Components
As designated by ourselves- are components that have had additional joining actions performed. Where welding is performed the finished product will then be galvanized, whether via batch galvanizing or electro-galvanizing – to ensure performance consistent with the structural steel. We do not use rivets for joining, these we class as destructive joining, given that the zinc layer is compromised – we use not destructive joining as employed in the automobile industry.

    Machined Components
Where component s are machines, e.g. CNC - the finished product will then be galvanized, whether via batch galvanizing or electro-galvanizing – to ensure performance consistent with the structural steel.

    Exterior Steel
The steel used for roofing and façade is pre-galavanized color coated sheet, then rolled with chromium dipped tooling to ensure the standard of the finished product.

    Timber

Enviroboard is a construction panel, generally manufactured using compressed ecologically safe sourced material. Most often this means employing the use of agricultural waste fibres, such as the post-harvest straw of rice, barley, wheat, and elephant grass or alternatively, a more urban waste stream such as newspaper fibre.

In the Philippines the source used is coco lumber pulp.

Construction panels built from agricultural wastes have been around for hundreds of years, especially in Central and Eastern Europe where pressed leaves and straw were used as insulation and even structural material. Environmental board panels should not be confused with straw bale construction which does not process waste fibres into a compressed standardized board panel.

The concept of environmental construction panels dovetails with the principles of sustainability, namely reducing the impact that the entire life-cycle of constructing built environments has on the environment.

    Insulation

We source our insulation from internationally recognized producers and try to source it from those with locally based production facilities, wherever possible.

    Vapor / Moisture

Vapor and moisture are regulated using different layers of materials, to allow vapor and moisture to leave the building, but not let rain in. We use rubber gaskets to make sure the walls are water tight and different papers to control moisture.

    Gaskets

    General Overview of the Product
The Gaskets we use as similar to those used in the automotive industry, they are made of lightweight, low-density rubber, they ensure a tight seal between the wall panels.

    Overview of supplier
Trelleborg are located in Sweden.  The Gaskets we use as similar to those used in the automotive industry.

    Wind Paper

    General Overview of the Product
The Performance papers we use are environmentally bitumen impregnated membranes, used in extra wide dimensions to ensure absolute sealing.

    Overview of supplier
Mataki is also manufactured by Trelleborg. It is the leading supplier of sealant papers in Scandinavia.
